Regulatory Compliance

Elpac is committed to meeting regulatory requirements, and has been an industry leader in the complying with the major directives.

RoHs Compliance

Elpac has made considerable progress towards becoming RoHS compliant. Our management, procurement and engineering departments are extensively engaged in this project and are confident we will meet all RoHS requirements by the July 1, 2006 date. We are well into the process of locating, qualifying and procuring lead free versions of the many components that are used in Elpac products, and using them to develop qualified versions of our products. We have already addressed the major task of developing a soldering process that uses lead free solder (which tends to have problematic issues such as high melting temperatures, high cost, and other processing issues). Further we have established and are using procedures for labeling and separating leaded from RoHS compliant components and finished goods in our physical inventory and information systems.

WEEE Compliance

Elpac is keeping a careful watch on the proceedings of the EU in regards to the WEEE directives and is committed to being compliant with all the requirements when the implementation dates are finally settled upon.

CEC Compliance & CEC Approved Lab

Elpac is committed to being compliant with the California Energy Commission (CEC) standards. Elpac is also a CEC approved lab that is certified by the California Energy Commission to test products for CEC Compliance.

Agency Certifications

Elpac has corporate ISO certifications, as well as agency certifications for each power supply. The certifications for each power supply can be viewed on the individual product pages.
