Stuart Oakes
General Manager, Elpac Electronics/Elpac Shenzhen
Mr. Oakes served as the Company’s Executive Vice President from 1995 through 2007. He joined the Company in 1984 as Marketing Manager and served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing from 1987 to 1994. He was Senior Vice President of Operations from 1994 to 1996. From 1976 to 1984, Mr. Oakes served in several marketing and sales management positions with General Electric’s Rechargeable Battery Business. Mr. Oakes received a B.A. from the University of Redlands.
Arian Jansen
Senior Vice President, Engineering
Mr. Jansen is responsible for all engineering activity at Elpac, including leadership of design and product development activities at the company's design centers in Irvine, California and Shenzhen, China. He is also responsible for providing technical leadership in all interactions with Elpac customers worldwide. Before joining Elpac, he was Director of Advanced Engineering at Flextronics, responsible for building a power supply design team and supporting major international customers. He has similar experience building power supply design teams and introducing new products incorporating new technologies as Director of Development Engineering at Delta Products Corporation (US subsidiary of Delta Electronics Inc. of Taiwan) and as Director of R&D at NMB Technologies. Previously he was a Senior Engineer for Power at Hewlett Packard in Grenoble, France. A native of The Netherlands, he speaks English, German and Dutch. He holds eleven patents in the field of power electronics.
Thom Black
Quality Manager
Mr. Black is responsible for the Quality organization at Elpac facilities in Irvine and China. He serves as the key customer contact for all Quality matters, especially Elpac's dock-to-stock quality system. He manages incoming inspection, work-in-process inspection, and final burn-in and test activities to assure product quality consistent with Elpac's ISO 9001 certification and 5-year warranty programs. He also oversees Elpac's on-going reliability test program to achieve our stated objectives of demonstrated reliability in the hundreds of thousands of hours. Thom joined Elpac in 1989 from Western Digital. He has a BSEE with a concentration in production engineering, as well as a BS in Management.
Nicki Walsh
Chief Customer Advocate
Ms. Walsh leads the effort to deliver "knock-your-socks-off" service to all Elpac customers. She is responsible for leading the Customer Service team and ensuring that customer requests are received enthusiastically and acted upon promptly. She continually contacts customers on an informal basis, and surveys them in a formal manner, to gauge our effectiveness and ensure that we are constantly exceeding their expectations. When customers need something fast, they call Nicki and she makes it happen. Nicki joined Elpac in 2000. She has over 20 years experience in various management positions in customer service and administration with electronics manufacturers in southern California.
