Elpac Introduces 250 Watt Open Frame Medical Power Supplies
Leading-Edge Technology Boasts High Power Density
IRVINE, CA – November 21, 2006 –Elpac Electronics, Inc., a worldwide leader in accelerating the design and manufacture of superior-quality power supplies, custom docking stations and battery chargers, today announced the release of its new MSMP250F series of 250 watt open frame power supplies for medical applications.
The new RoHs compliant models—which provide high power density (5.8w/in3)—feature Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS), synchronous output rectifiers, wide range AC input with power factor correction, and fully regulated output for use in a wide variety of mobile or portable medical applications. All models are backed by Elpac’s industry-leading five-year warranty.
The MSM250F series includes five new models, each providing 250 watts of DC power at single outputs of 12, 15, 24, 28, 48, volts. Each model takes AC input from universal sources and provides fully regulated DC output. All medical agency and regulatory approvals have been completed, including UL2601-1, CE marking, and FCC Class B.
The new models meet 2008 CEC standards for efficiency and zero load power consumption. The series features an extended life of greater then seven years at maximum load. Additionally, the new 250 Watt series provides up to 250W with convection cooling and up to 350W with forced air cooling while maintaining a very high voltage dip immunity.
